Lake Superior provides countless activities for every taste. Whether it’s a swim, kayak, or even a paddle board you can explore the private shoreline from afloat. For those not looking to get their sea legs wet, there is great rockhounding or bird watching. Our friendly on site eagle (in a nest up in the 200 year old pine tree nearby) always gives a great show as he fishes the shoreline every now and then. To see the 6’ wing span swoop down to clip a fish is surely something to behold.

The surrounding forest and trails provide hours of hikes, runs, and rides. Brewery Creek and other small babbling brooks throughout will transport you to another place in time and provide fishing possibilities on the small banks alongside. Bring a blanket and pail for berry picking and picnicking. Nature is all around you to wash away the city stress and fast pace you are probably here to escape.

In the winter you can ski, snowmobile, or snow-shoe right out of your front door or travel a short distance to our many winter local recreation sites and hills. We are centrally located on the Peninsula and convenient to: Calumet’s National Historic Park, Isle Royale, Copper Harbor, Mt. Bohemia, Swedetown, and the Houghton/Hancock area.
